Letter to Customers: Sept. 2007
To kiddywampus Customers: Exciting News!
We have now been in business for over a year in our little shop in the alley. Our business has been based on a simple idea: providing quirky, unique toys in an interactive environment, where kids can actually play with the toys and have a great time. The response of you our customers, positive reviews in the media and the City Pages award for "Best Toy Store" last May give us confidence that we're creating an innovative business on a path toward lasting success.
Because of our success as well as our expectations of future growth, we are thrilled to announce the final and most important part of how we wish to run our business: all after-tax profits from kiddywampus will go to charities benefiting children.
Despite being a new business moving towards profitability, we have kept our charitable vision front and center. We have already partnered with Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The store as you have come to love it will remain the same to anyone who walks into kiddywampus, we will compete for their business with our characteristic passion. We will still bring our customers a quirky, unusual selection of toys and remain a fun destination kids love.We will celebrate this most important part of our mission at a Dedication Party on Oct. 27, National Make A Difference Day.
